What does THE NECESSARY STAGE LTD do?
The Necessary Stage (TNS) is a non-profit theatre company with charity status, established in 1987 by Artistic Director Alvin Tan. Their mission is to create challenging and innovative theatre that touches the heart and mind. TNS stages an average of two main season productions each year and organizes the annual M1 Singapore Fringe Festival. They also offer training and mentorship programs for emerging theatre practitioners, as well as laboratory initiatives focused on thematic and interdisciplinary explorations.
